The mission of the East West Council for Education (EWCE) is to strengthen understanding and relations between the United States and other countries in all fields of study and international relations, directly and indirectly.  The EWCE accomplishes this mission with grants that assist students fulfill the entry requirements of institutions of higher education in the foreign country where they wish to study.  This support is directed to students of other countries wishing to study in the U.S. as well as American students wishing to study abroad.  EWCE provides grants for payment of entrance examination costs, college entrance fees, and assistance in the costs of travel and lodging necessary to fulfill entrance requirements.

 

In addition, EWCE will encourage dialogue in various fields of study and international relations by promoting attendance, speaking and lecturing by experts and scholars at regional and international conferences.  These conferences will be dedicated to the principles of equality and mutual cooperation of the global community, so as to attain a higher level of participations and achievement in the exchange of ideas.  In this way, they contribute to the success of international relations, world peace and multilateral prosperity.

 

With its headquarters at the hub of the Pacific Rim in Honolulu, Hawaii, EWCE is uniquely situated to accomplish its international mission.
